Thought maybe someone might be interested maybe not, as i have a 13,000 trip coming up i have had the bike serviced
and a good going over, as most on here would know the CVO is 18 months old now with 33,000ks and i wasnt sure if the
pads would see the trip out so i told them to change them, now this bike hasnt had a sedate life including 2 Snowy trips
in its short life and a fair amout of other twisty brake hungry riding, anyway i got the old pads back and very surprised how
much was left on them 40% i would say, everyone rides differently but just maybe the ABS systems on these newer bikes
make for better pad life (just my opinion) as this is a very heavy bike with my fat guts on it.
P.S thought i would start this thread to keep Markwoumla happy.
I would think that if you rode predominantly long outback ( countrry ) journies the Reading of total KLM`s on your speedo is irrelervant . Meaning 33,ooo country Klm is like ,say 11,ooo for a round town Cafe hopping Late sipping,to & from work rider where as the Pad wear would be more significant
Just had 40k service and pads fine . Maybe the linked brakes help too Mickle ?
