Cheers to all for the valuable information. About to Purchase my first Harley. I have been an enthusiaistic 2 wheeler from a young age and have enjoyed many different bikes. Currently own a KTM enduro bike that I love getting out on but have been feeling the urge to get back on the road bike for a while now. Fate was sealed this year when good mate and I booked tickets to the Motogp and he said if we are going down then we are making a trip out of it and riding down. Have jumped on everything I could get my hands on so far and pretty well sold on the Street Bob. Have found it valuable to troll through the posts and get people's advice and opinions on all the good bits I will want to add to a stocker so thanks for the info...!

    Welcome to the forum.

Phillip Island is always a good ride for the GP, being part of thousands of bikes all going the same way is a great feeling.

Thanks Gents, sealed the deal today. Went for the 2016 Street Bob in the Vivid Black with Vance and Hines Big Shots (black), screaming eagle filter and tuner (would have loved to of explored some other tuners but stuck with the shop advice, maybe upgrade later when warranty runs out if need be). Only other extra I went for was the Diamond Cut footpegs and shifter. As I am sure all you guys know I could have lost the plot with so many nice bits and pieces too add to the machine but common sense and needing to stick to a budget prevailed. So stoked with the purchase...! Nothing like looking forward to picking up a new bike..

Great choice, I met up with Matpro76 for 2 rides so far who also has a mean 2016 Street Bob (great bloke BTW), after seeing his bike I am very tempted to trade/sell my iron 883 and upgrade to a Street Bob as well. Really like the look and fell of the Steet Bob, however I'm not convinced it will suit my stature (165cm tall and 80kg).
