I ran those licks 10 inch jobs and never bottomed out

Running airbaigs now with an additional 1 inch lowering block and the seat bolt hits the tyre if you have no air in it. I'd guess that would be a 8.5 inch eye to eye height effectively.

Word of warning though. Super low shocks like you are getting literally don't move haha. Handling suffers and your back will hate you after 50kms. Looks cool though.

Ikon make great stuff, I'm sure you will love them.

I am looking at changing the rear suspension on my sporty, at the moment its kind of brutal.

I hear goid things about Ikons and would be nice to support a local, just trying to get some coins together.

I goy Ikon's for my sporty and very happy with result. 7610 series shocks with adjustable damping and preload $521 and all chrome $631 smiley

Don't forget to fix the front to.
Progressive springs and revalue in the forks to match the rear.

    stops the diving under brakes

Have a look at the Gazi shocks, also made here, remote reservoir and fully adjustable about $850, no remote about the same as the Ikons. Give them a ring and they will build for your weight and pillion, love them. But as Nomada said think about the front as well, and as he/she said the progressive cartridges bare great value and make a world of difference, then you'll need to think about a brake upgrade. Oh the joys of a Harley!

    Cheers mate and good luck,

I find the front suspension fine, dosent seem to dive and grips the road fine.

I am not the original owner so not sure if the previous owner did anything to it, just the rears are brusing with unexpected bumps on these shit sa roads they are hard to avoid.

Rear on my sportster is same. Brakes are good with the ABS saved my ass at least once. Has anyone got the new 48 with the new rear shocks? Interested to know if they get rid of the rear bottoming out problem.
