Hi there, I have recently purchased a New Breakout, I am 78kgs and the ride feels fairly harsh compaired to the Fatty I had.

Anyone else on here find the same, and if so have you had it soffend off  and how ?

    Cheers..

Shotgun shocks, best you can get for the softail, had them on 2 bikes now and love the ride.

I recently changed the shocks on my Fatboy S to Shotgun shocks. I didn't like the jarring I was getting when hitting bumps or depressions with the originals. Whilst the new shocks have certainly improved this aspect I am not yet comfortable with the setup of the Shotguns.i have tried very hard to perfect the setup but I am starting to wonder if it is the chacteristics of these air shocks rather than the setup that is irking me.I wonder if I shouldn't have gone with the Harley Comfort Flex shocks instead! If you don't mind the additional inch in height they might be a reasonably priced option.

    I prefer 'for fuck sake'.

Afterall, probably not possible for 'fuck' to have ownership ??

Am sure someone with way more experience in such matters, will chime in ....

    Bloodog ??

It's a derivation of "For God's sake" hence the apostrophe.

seems like way to much hassle, if i were that weight id just eat food until the ride got better. thats just me though.

...you can learn just about anything on this Forum!

Mate, check the owners manual and if that doesn't work plenty of ppl on here have a few shocks that they would recommend. I took mine back to the shop as they needed a HD specific tool for adjustment -- which they did for free and apologised for not setting it up for my weight.

Shotgun Shocks for me, takes time to know where the sweet spot is for just one or two up riding. But when you hit that spot, you will say money well spent.

I have Fournales on my 15 Breakout, I have lower back problems and the ride is a lot smoother now. They are not cheap but they are well worth it in my eyes.

Gawd, is 'Le Frog' still working?

He must be like Cliff Richards I reckon... a closet vampire.
