Figured I'd give ya all an update.

Frasers 1200 'torque it up' kit has been fitted. Haven't given it legs just yet as it's gotta be run in, but even still the difference is night and day and the cams really change the sound of the bike along with the higher capacity, which is great. A lumpier deeper tone and sounds much better at highway speeds.

One question though, you know the typical sportster sewing machine sound that comes from the rockers(?) it seems to be more noticeable now, especially at higher RPM - would this be expected?

Noc bit late, but there was a compleat 1250 hammer kit with motor thrown in at a good price posted in here those barrels would fit your motor & had the 1200 late model EFI heads and performance clutch the heads still had stock chamber, so could be used with any pistons that was a really good price ( if still there ?)

does not matter what you think, i would not bother with 1200 conversion unless i used 1200 heads as valve sizes & 1200 heads so much better the heads are everything! plus brand new performance clutch & engine hard to beat for that price

    Hi Noc,

Hope the 1250 is everything you want. Unfortunately things happened here, and becoming trailer trash is way, way more expensive than thought (and told by park owners!). So the 88 inch kit will have to wait for a while. Hammer were fucking great when I explained and sent the cams for the deposit I'd put down, can't see a company here doing that, great, great service. Ando has done the cams, so now just waiting to pick the bike up some time when back from Augusta (trailer park) and sorting the house out for the renters. Shit no time for the bike, no time for fishing and no time to scratch my arse!

What was the final decision and price? I'm looking at doing the same. Cheers

    Hey MUT

Was about $2500 fitted, and I got a good chunk of that back on the SE Tuner included in the kit which I did not need. Read my previous post for more detail around my experience so far.

Thanks Noc. I have been leaning towards the Hammer 1250 kit. Just need to find someone in Melbourne for the fitting. Cheers

Very, very good of Hammer and once things are sorted out will be emailing Aaron again and hopefully be doing the upgrade. Could not be more impressed with their service! Hopefully pick her up tomorrow or Monday!
