So BBRs on the BBR, how's the ride going?

Is it living up to its name?

With this forecast I would suggest that the ride is up to expectations, Krackers.

Flinders for Sunday Cloudy. High (80%) chance of rain, becoming less likely in the late morning. The chance of a thunderstorm in the late morning and afternoon. Winds N/NE 25 to 40 km/h tending N/NW 20 to 30 km/h in the late morning and afternoon. Daytime maximum temperatures between 13 and 16.

Irrespective of weather and conditions, you suspect they're having a good time when there's no word from them on the forum.

We left Quorn at around 08:30 with the slightest of mist, that lasted about 5 minutes, 12C on the Spyder temp, wet road but we stayed dry, into Port Augusta by 09:00, stopped in at a friends place for a quick one and a coffee, then bucketed down, still raining 10:30 as we said "stuff it, we want to get home", the rain stopped, clear blue sky 40 minutes later home and unpacked.
good weekend, great to catch up with the foreigners and meet the newbies, good music too (cheers AJ) for a while there we thought Ralphski had organised the stripper, but it was only a netball team on a night out.

    cheers till next run

Home safe and pretty dry. Jamestown for brekky then Hallet,Burra to avoid messy road works. Bloody windy but dry roads nearly all the way. Drizzle started at Roseworthy and got heavier in the hills but stayed dry. Great weekend with everyone. Well done Ralph great job organising again. (will see if we can find you a bundy bear) Hope China and Mickle get home safe. Good effort again you two.

Cheers Ralphski for organizing, and the rest who came.

Started off at a near disaster with AJ having a flat rear - thankfully it was due to a dodgy valve cap.

Great roads all of them. My favourite stretch would have been Jamestown to Hallet - going through the hills, felt like riding in a photoshopped pic. Blinman was great. "black and tan" was not too bad. Cops waiting for us in Quorn and a bit of biffo that got stopped pretty quickly in the Quorn pub that night (no one from our group - just some other randoms). The side-wind part-way back was nuts. What a weekend - it went so damn quick.

RE: AJ's and Wingers choice in musing - anyone who likes "the gambler" has good taste in music in my books (although, if either of you were the ones that put Abba on, then you've gone down a few notches).

it's what it's all about. A great ride with a top bunch of blokes. for those of you that knew the run was on and worried about the weather, it didn't happen, and you missed out on one of the best scenic rides you could encounter a day's ride from Adelaide. Plenty of wild life to keep you on your toes, and some of the best sweeping roads you'll ever encounter. As far as the blokes that went go, you couldn't have had a better mob to ride and socialise with. i have doubts about one person , though. Anybody that wears thongs to the pub on a Saturday night when it's sub zero outside has gotta have some issues, hey Ralphy?

Now that China and Mickle have arrived home safely, i'm happy to call this years Brass Balls Run another success.
The weather held off, some excellent roads to ride, and thanks to all who made the effort, especially China and Mickle.
Can't wait for next years BBR.
