Changed the bars over the weekend and when I started the bike today the red key light inside the speedo stayed on.  This bike is an 07 fatboy and doesnt have an alarm system ??  The bike runs fine but now it also wont start in gear with the clutch in.  Have I made a boo boo somewhere or maybe left a wire off?  I didnt cut any wires I took them all out of the connectors and put them all back in the way they came out.  I did cut my indicator wires on both sides to relocate them but they went back on the same way as well.  Indicators are working fine.  Sorry I did search the forum but all the other posts seem to involve bikes with a secutiry system.  As i said the fatty doesnt have one ??

Why do I think this has something to do with the little button the clutch lever pushes when it's pulled? I'd start there. You may have to big a gap between the lever and the housing so it isn't pushing it.

You were right on the money re the switchy thingo Bonkerz. It would appear I didn't put the switch housing back on properly. Theres a sneaky little tab hanging around in there. That fixed that problem. However the little key still came on. Anyway I took the neg battery terminal off, put it back on and bugger me the little red key has gone back from whence it came. Good riddance say I. Not sure what that was all about but I obviously reset something I would imagine. Thanks mate.
