Small indicators.

I have relocated the front indicators or blinkers if you like on my 07 fatboy to the side on the accent strip as is common practice.

I am looking for some smaller ones but the only ones I can find have the wires running out of the end of the bolt on the indicator.  No good on my set up as it bolts straight into the side of the accent strip and the female thread behind it.    The bolt hole doesnt go stragiht thru so the wires have nowhere to go.  Im after some like the original indicators that have the wires coming out of the body of the indicators, not the bolt that holds them on.  Buggered if I can find any.  Anyone seen anything like this?  I have searched all over even ebay.  Was thinking of

    Thanks.

Might change the location to the bottom accent strip hole too.  Thoughts on what looks beeter?  And yes the indicators stop about 2mm away from the tank on full lock.  Close but havent had them hit.

Hi Binsy. I saw some pretty snappy front indicators the other day. They were kind of like a narrow (maybe 5mm wide band) that went around the fork leg, a bit like a garter if you will. You would not even have noticed they were there if they were not blinking. I believe they were a bit pricey but they sure looked minimal.

Thanks Far Canal. I have seen the ones you describe and like the look of them. They are LED so a bit of stuffing around with load equalizers to make me work properly. Ends up expensive but like you say they look good.

I would move indicators to the lower. Also keep in mind, if changing blinkers to, Lets say the type described above. I don't believe they are ADR compliant. and if you have an accident, & the other party says they did not see them, Then you wont have any insurance, ( either yours or the other party) Seen it happen before

Thanks FXST11 I didn't think of that. Might just leave the big fellas on and move em down to the lower. Had the bike apart today putting new bars on and moved the bolts Down to the lower section all ready to move.

What about these ones Binnsy? They dont have the wires coming out of the end pf the mounting bolt. I had them fitted when I put Burliegh bars on my bike and could not keep the stock handlebar mounted blinkers as they would hit the tank. I realise your fatboy has got fatter forks than a FXST however it is possible that a similar blinker is made to fit the fatboys.

Not sure if they are much smaller than the stock ones.

I got em from "Titan bike and trike" in Hobart. They were called something like "front indicator relocation kit".

You might be able to get them closer to home.

I think that the main thing is the lens needs to be compliant - it has something written on it (assuming you run the existing wattage bulb)

Some of the Kuryakyn offerings are pretty nice. These ones are definitely smaller and less bulbous than the stock lights, and can be finished in chrome: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/kuryakyn-led-torpedo-turn-signal-indicator-lights though I think they're wired the way you were hoping to avoid

I believe the LED ones mentioned earlier that wrap around the fork are a Joker Machine design, but can be had elsewhere as well.
