Howdy folks,
I have an XG500 that is experiencing the 'lag & leap' fueling issues that were supposedly fixed under recall. Now the dealer has confirmed the recall was done, however I am still having the following issues - that unfortunately neither the purchasing dealer or my local dealer want anything to do with.
1. Low fuel light comes on after roughly 120ks - I fill up and can only put 6L in my 13L tank.
2. Once the low fuel light comes on, if I persist and ride on (knowing I'm really at half tank) once I hit about 200ks I virtually can't do a hill start (either up or down hill) - the bike just stalls out and I have to rev the shit out of it to go anywhere (which then creates the lag & leap experience).
My questions are:
- Has anyone else experienced this?
- Can someone recommend a good HD dealership in Melbourne (preferably SE) to take a look at it?
