I want to get to get a 2nd bike but it won't be HD, thinking of a BMW K1300 or maybe a S1000R. I know they're a bit different but the test ride will make up my mind (probably the K).

what's your second bike (or what do you want it to be) and why did you choose it?

Suzuki GSXs1000. If you've not taken one for a test run I'd highly recommend it. Its basically a naked Gixxer tuned for the street and 15K ride away....dead set bargain.

140 something HP, bags of Torque, Brembo anchors, ABS, Traction control. Handles better than it looks, a great bike to ride. Those are my reasons. Did I say 15K!

Vintage ones are cool. You can get rego at cut price rates and they make you feel like you are in a time warp riding them. Got 3 on special interest rego and no shit! they all have their charm and are a hoot to ride.

Guess it all depends on what you want the other bike for.

Oh yeah, here 30 years old is what a bike needs to be to qualify. So anything 1986 or before. A veritable smorgasboard to choose from.

My second bike is a 2005 Yamaha YZF-R6. 60K on the clock. Custom paint job. Oh, and I paid $5k for it. Fantastic bike and it puts a smile on my face every time I ride it.

Absolutely love the Super Tenere, shits all over my last R1200 GS Adventurer, and was $10,000 cheaper.

    I have two BMW's

One is a 1997 R1200c Cruiser, the type that James Bond rode in one of the movies.
The other is a 1985 K75c with 475,000km on it and a fully original motor, man they built those early Beemer's tough.

    Cheers
