Hey guys and gals,
Now that I have had my street bob (2016) for a few months I have gotten a feel for what I would like done to it, bearing in mind I have little mechanical/technical knowledge - any advice would be fantastic!
So far I am thinking I would like more control over the bike - the mini apes are cute and all but dont feel comforting at any sort of low speed or around twisties. I was looking at the T-Bars or similiar, what I really need is something where my arms are not up in the air or that I am leaning over heavily as that would defeat the purpose of selling my sport bikes. I also want to add a memphis cafe fairing thing to the front eventually too - and am not sure if that will fit any sort of handlebar or not.
then I would like the mustang solo seat, though sad it doesnt seem to come in brown so not sure if there are comfortable alternatives in brown either.
I like the magnaflow bandit exaust and was looking at the little tuning things you can get from revzilla, and not sure on a new air cleaner yet.
Thanks Mat, I looked them up and they look pretty good, will check in with the dealership about them next time i am in
Something to consider is as well as changing the bars, you have different options for the riseres too. so you can go something like drag bars, but have them a bit closer or higher so you're not leaning forward as much. Heard good thing about the mustang seats.
As G T said I have the 6 inch pull back risers on my stock Fat Bob bars and having a crook back it has made the world of difference.
Here's a side pic to give you an idea how they look.
Good photo

Streetbob special with stock T bars and cafe fairing
I also went with thick pull back 8" rise T bars and find they are great. Mine are slightly narrower as well.
One way of finding out how high or wide you want to go is sit on your bike, close your eyes and put your arms out where you fell most comfortable and then see where your hands actually are, you might be surprised.
As for the seat I can't help you, I find the standard seat OK.
Cheers Ando. Yours ain't half bad either!
