Took a drive from Canberra to Mount Franklin on the weekend, the site of the original Canberra Alpine Club ski resort that opened in the 1930's. The buildings were destroyed by fire in 2003. One thing of interest was that they had installed a ski lift in the 1950's powered by a Harley. In the photos it was basically the whole bike minus the wheels, guards, seat and handlebars. It was the engine and gearbox in the frame with the tanks aswell.

Wondering what other interesting uses you people have seen for Harley power?
