Motorcycle dolly for garage etc

I'm looking for something to make it easier to move and store the beloved SG.

I think that this would be suitable with the only downside being it can be wheeled away easily if not locked down, but will not be an issue in the new garage.

Does anyone have one? Comments or opinions appreciated.

    Cheers.

I used to have one of those except red. I had to put front wheel on wooden block, so as to turn the front wheel for steering lock. Plus with the weight of my fxst, it was very hard to move with the wheels surplied. They don't have bearings.
I sold it. But then I Won a BikeSkate m/cycle dolly. Best thing I have ever used. Works Great. I was about to buy one until I Won it .

Bike skate do have one the whole bike sits on which is the one I should have gotten. I got the one that only the rear wheel and side stand sit on but takes a bit of getting used to.

    Hi Mate

Why not kill 2 birds with one stone.  I dont know if you have one of these but its great.  Use it all the time for tinkering and occasionally for moving.  I ride the bike into the garage and use it to turn it around with the jack if the Mrs has blacked me in too tight to back out.  Takes 30 seconds to lift it, spin it or move it.

There are a few brands on the market.  Look for the highest weight rating, the widest base and lowest height.  My RoadKing is lowered one inch and this jack just gets under it while on the Kickstand.  Stable for working on bike and easy to move bike around with bike on it.  Theres one on Ebay for $139 on E-Bay.  That sound cheaper than those movers and you can use it to work on bike as well.

Thanks Jersey, but I already have a bike lift, and yes it comes in handy to move the bike around as well.

I'm looking for the ground level mover so I don't have to muck around lifting and lowering the bike.

Cheers for the info then. I haven't checked them out since they weren't anything I was looking for - I want something small.

Yeah, the wheels on most let them down. OK to move the lift under the bike but as soon as you apply some weight, they stop turning without a lot of force. (at least on mine)

Good luck looking for the right one. I've seen a few different ones and they are a good idea, but my usual response is buy a bigger shed. devil

The motomover one looks good. I don't have any need for one but would be piss easy to make.
Surely you or someone you know could knock one out?

Thanks Mon. There were previous comments about small wheels not being that good, but you obviously have not have a problem.

It looks like an ad from a firm in Victoria.

Is there where you got it from?
