    Hello member,

I'm Lundo and I reside in north west Sydney. I had been sniffing around in here late last year when I decided to return to work after 3 years as a stay at home dad. Returning to work an generating an income meant I could look at bikes again after a few years absence. I really wasn't chasing a cruiser but I had a previous habit of occasionally enjoying sport/tourers a little too enthusiastically if I didn't get a few track days in every now and again. I had been chasing Yamaha Australia for a year desperately hoping that they would bring in the Euro version of the XJR1300 Racer, but it just didn't happen.

So with a few bucks in my pocket, I started to research other options that would keep me entertained. That research had me looking at online reviews, in particular a rather sweet looking ride, the 2016 FLSS, and because Frasers Homebush is open sundays when every other type of dealership is closed, I took a detour on the way home and they had only 1 left. Someone else was enquiring about it, so I paid the deposit and made it mine having never ridden a Harley before. Probably a silly way to do it, probably a silly paint job (olive gold denim), probably silly choices (pillion seat, sissy bar, rack) trying to turn it into something it isn't, but I'm really having fun.

I don't ride with anyone else, not yet anyway, but I'm interested in the knowledge sharing, stories etc that this forum provides, so it was time to hit that "Register" button instead of being a Lurker.

Interestingly, the only other times I have seen the same model as mine is in magazines or on the net. I am yet to see another one. (They do look better in black though)

Welcome Lundo and best of luck with your new bike. Great intro by the way, one of the better ones I have read. I grew up in the North West (Baulkham Hills / Castle Hill) so you must be a good bloke. I reckon that olive paint job looks good and different from the usual black.  Must have been fun to make an impulsive purchase like that.....good on ya I say

    Thanks guys.

Pipes were purchased at time of sale, but are yet to be fitted, with tuner. This guy had great sales technique. He asked me what state of tune I wanted. Then he started a bike fitted with V&H shorts inside the showroom! My wallet stayed open for a while longer.
