Hi Guys, got a New FXDF FatBob ( only 220Kms now ) , took her for a spin tonight, and noticed that the red light was coming on 5 mins into the ride! Now i did some searching on the internet , and it suggests Blown Light Globe! The problem i have is that being the 15 model, it has LED Rear taillights, i have LED Headlights, and the blinkers are all working! What could be going on?
Next time you notice it's on try pushing the front brake lever forward for a bit and see if it goes out. Had this issue myself where the front brake master cylinder doesn't return all the way out by a poofteenth and then the air pressure when moving at speed pushes the lever back because of the small gap. This releases the front brake light trigger switch to on and after 2kms of this the BMS thinks the brakes have been on the whole time and throws a code and illuminates the dash warning light. Might not be your issue but it certainly gave me the shits trying to fault find it on mine!!
Hey thanks guys, I'll definitely give those options a go first, trying to get the bike in for them to look at, ( so they can leave it on the floor for a day ) is something I'd rather avoid at the moment...
Yeah , i have it booked in for Saturday, they'll whack the computer on and see what it says... I hope its not much... Ill let you know the outcome!
And..........was it the switch?
Sorry for late reply, Faulty Earth was the problem... all fixed now
