Does anybody know what the Harley dealerships do with the original exhaust systems they replace with aftermaket systems.  I need a set of pipes to get my '90 softail through the registration inspection.  I'm in W.A. and would appreciate any info on any thing that will help me out.

Phone a few dealers and ask 'em.
Probably get more up to date / accurate information, than asking the forum ....

Get a later softail system with out the exhaust solenoid flapper deal or with it removed , you will probley
Have to make up of mod your bracket and plug the o2 holes if it has them but the Tc ones do bolt on few on gumtree

I was after the chrome exhaust bracket for a 2013 fatboy just after Christmas and the parts guy at my local dealership gave me a brand new complete exhaust system with the bracket that I was after, for free. I was able to use the new heat shields, bracket and other pieces off the pipes. I asked what happens to these pipes they remove from bikes and he told me they send them to the tip. Although, I did buy the bike from this particular dealer and have spend a shit load of money with them. Maybe that's why the freebie exhaust.
