How high can stock cabling go?

Hi all, I'm thinking of replacing the wide western (fatboy style) bars on my 99 fxdl, and I like the look of mini apes, especially the Santee Bonanza style. I think I'd only go to 10" or 11" maximum, but I'd love to not have to replace everything, especially since I have a twin disc front. I'm wondering how much room there is in the stock wiring and cables etc and if anyone here has done a similar mod to a dyna. I'm hoping if I go up but not as wide I might be ok? I reckon I could get away with the cost of bars without an ear bashing, but adding everything else on top might trigger the complaining alarm, which I'd rather not hear. What are my options?

I have 8" tall Drags Bars and I'm pretty much at the top end of the clutch, throttle cables and brake line.

I'd be limiting your question to just FXDLs, and even then the response (and results) can be varied.

Ok, who has an older fxdl or fxd and has changed bars? What did you go for and what were the limitations to your wiring etc?
