Turning on ignition with no tank fitted, EFI

    Hello chaps,

    Quick question...  Here's the sitch:

I've taken off my tank to fit a new one, which will be painted over the next couple of weeks and fitted, so I've just stuck the fuel pump and EFI internals into a plastic bag and zip tied it. (Thought was to stop it drying, is that right?)

The bigger question is, that whilst the tank is waiting for paint, I'll be fitting some bar end signals etc so will need to run the ignition to test that stuff.  My concern is that this will activate the fuel pump, but with no tank fitted, will that damage anything? Excuse me if this is a stupid question.

    Any help appreciated.

Yeah, that makes sense. But its not going to sit with the alarm on? I'm still unsure of how whole drop in voltage or one loop circuit stuff works...
