I am intending to change out my drive belt (94k and counting) I am actually running out of adjustment on the belt.  No damage or cuts etc just stretched.  As I need to replace my upper belt guard $150 odd, so asked about the cost for the belt from HH. Thanks god I was sitting down. $311.00.  Well it has to be done so start saving my pennies...I suppose it is better than $1500 and more for them to do the job.

So how long should a belt last? I have heard conflicting thoughts that they are good for more than 100k The belt is not damaged, cut in anyway that I have seen just stretched. I have abut 5-10mm of adjustment left.

Mate just had one let go on an older Evo , 208,000kms .

The EVO belts look a lot thicker & the wheels not as wide. but no idea if makes a difference to how long the last.

 

That's because thay are thicker 1.5inch vs 1 1/8 than 20mm on the 200 rear as for Oem is better as I've said before Harley don't make belts gates make them for Harley with the hd logo same as the bdl ones but yep there a lot of brands out there
