At least you turned up, Ralph.... Just sayin'
Just got home after a long weekend at Goolwa. Thanks Ash for organising the day. I really enjoyed the ride path, company, (Ash, Roady, Winger, his mate Bob who I knew from another life and Ralph until he turned off), meal at the Middleton Pub and scenery. I was so enjoying the ride and company that I continued with the boys after lunch across the ridge from Victor Harbor to Delamere where we said farewell.
Those young blokes, Ash and Roady, don't know what it's like to have a bladder the size of an acorn and a need for constant coffee. I had been praying for a wee / coffee stop and got excited when we turned toward Spooks patch at Strathalbyn but that was not to be. Thanks Bob on his beautiful Street Glide for catching a bee sting to the face before lunch which gave Winger and me a chance to stop and have a roadside wee.
Please remember fellas that it takes a lot of effort to organise a ride. Support members that go out of their way to arrange something. Admittedly this was an awkward one, being the day before the Black Dog ride.
Cheers and thanks again Ash. I look forward to another well organised ride.
I didn't take any pics. It was a busy day.
Fook me, that's my old Street Glide. Who is riding that one now???
I still have some parts for it they may want
He's a mate of mine , Lofty. I'll let him know.
In Steelo's defence, Ash, you did set a cracking pace. Not that it worries me.Makes a change from getting locked in behind on some of the big number rides. That's a primo bit of bitumen on that Delamere road. Would do that trip again anytime. Top job!
