Can you see me now!!!

We work by the motto "See & be seen!" Also roughly translated as "Can you see me now arsehole!"  As such, a little project over the weekend, upgrade the lighting on my Fat Boy.

I've had LED auxiliary lights for a little while now and they are really good, giving me an extra 40' on either side of the road, but I wanted more punch forward.  So, I've just finished installing a set of our Fat Bob LED lights into the auxiliaries.  Little bit of work to get the wiring the way I wanted it, due to forward planning for 3 different wiring projects.

The Fat Bob aux lights are switched via the HD aux switch housing on the bars (Tis a little big, but works for all 3 wiring projects).  I can have the aux switched off, or have them operate as normal high/low lights.

Haven't had a chance to run him in the dark yet, but they light the fuck outa my garage & back yard!  I'll get some night photos on Tuesday night.

In terms of output, the low output is a combined 5700lm and the high is 7800lm.  They are bloody bright!

I'm working out if we offer this as a complete kit, what do you guys think?

    Cheers! Nate

Nice, so if you just had the aux lights wired to the hi/lo, the switch box would be smaller?

Actually, you prob would not even need the switch box I guess.(If i read it right, you have it there for other pending projects)

Yep, if it was just wired to the hi/lo, there would be no need for the switch box.  If you did want to have them switched, there are other switches available that are a lot smaller.

    Cheers! Nate

They are our standard Fat Bob lights Hilly, with a bit of customisation mate.  The lights by themselves are $490 for the pair without any of the auxiliary mounting hardware to suit.  We have to do a bit of customisation to them, there is about 3-4 hours work to make the buggers fit, including wiring. I'm thinking of making a plug & play kit which would include the buckets and wiring.  The buckets would be both chrome & black.  Our biggest headache at the moment is the standard "slim bezel" doesn't fit really well, the extended one (as on my fatty) works really well and very happy with those.  I think I'll have to make some new standard bezels to fit.

At the moment Hilly, happy to do a quote on an as needed basis mate.

    Cheers! Nate

Stage 2 has now been completed. We've added our new DRL Indicators to the mix. I thought it was bright before, but fuck me!!!

Overall front viewing area has increased dramatically, light output has also increased. Now 8100lm on low and 10200lm on high!

These things are nuts! More info on them here: http://bit.ly/hladrli

Nate, you're certainly kicking a lot of goals with your products.

I can't wait to see what else you come up with.

    Keep up the good work.

A few people have asked for a video of the lights. Here's one we took not long after putting the "Stage 2" lighting kit in. The quality isn't great, sorry.

    https://vimeo.com/158873598

I have a switched setup, where I can turn the Fat Bob Aux lights on & off. In the first part of the video, the Fat Bob Aux lights are off, so the light is from my 7" LED headlight and the DRL Indicators.

I have also adjusted the angle and alignment of the lights up slightly since the video was taken.
