Veterans MC are on the Gold Coast, they have a Facebook page.
I believe some Chapters run support crews for non overseas active service members.
There is a HUGE difference from a military MC and a military social club.
Be sure you research what you expect from a club and what each type of club will expect from you.
Brotherhood can not be purchased with a membership fee.

Regards Lofty (ex Army 21 years)

Not sure if the VETS MC in WA require the Active Service Medal for membership but stand to be corrected on that. The other chapters do.

There would be lots of blokes around who served in the late 70s/80s and don't have the Active Service medal. I don't think anything happened for the ADF in those years. Shame they can't join the VETERANS MC.

It is not cool to ask to join a club, you have to hang around and if you fit in you may be asked to Nom up. Check out the Diggers MC on facebook, you will not be dissapointed. They are an MC not social club, you will have to earn your patch, it will not be a walk in the park, it is a way of life, a Noms life is not an easy one, good luck!

Not going to go down the road but Lofty hit it on the head. There are plenty of Military clubs around. Patriots, MBMMC, Diggers, Veterans MC, Grunts?etc if they are still alive. All have their own rules and regs. If you have active service ie AASM ICB ASM then you can join the Veterans MC as a fully fledged member if not then you have the life of being a sub servant. If they don't float your boat then have a look at the others via their websites, go for a ride with them one day and don't commit.

Having said that I belong to the MBMMC Adelaide. I enjoy the blokes I ride with as we almost all served with each other at one time or another. And have the same attitude towards a lot of things. It is more about the commeradery within the club that binds it. We have all 3 services represented, and police as well. Yes you have your wankers like every other club. But at the end of the day it is all about riding your bike. And if all of then don't suit then stay here. Rides are posted in the rlevant state sub forum and if you want to attend then ok if not no matter you are not obliged to attend every ride. I ride with the SA mob Just to make em look good! But these guys are not driven by internal rules and politics. Just go out and ride... Which is what it is all about at the end of the day.

oh and I beat Lofty by 8 yrs  29 Yrs ARA Infantry, and I don't miss it that much, especailly the bush and BFA's and the loooong marches..... Bugger that shit.  When the trucks turn up at the finish to pick you up.  Why werent you fuckers at the start....

    Shit rambling

It's hard to find these days an fk I crave it haha.. You might not miss it that much bfas the stomps endless night sleeping in the mud but all that good stuff make the best stories an that's where we all made friendships more like family fk this is getting deep hahah! Cheers for ur info mate I'll look into it hopefully find a good bunch of blokes to ride with gets boring waiting for ppl to go for a ride where there not as keen as I am haha

    Mitchos,

Veterans MC Qld Chapter have a Bike & Trike show on Saturday 12 Mar at their clubhouse in Kingston. Might be worth checking out & meeting some of the members.

I'm a Nom with Veterans MC Far North Qld; 28 years Navy, got out 3 years ago. If Qld Chapter are like FNQ they will be a great bunch to ride with & a great support network when you need it.

Get in touch with them, go for a ride, judge for yourself

    Cheers
