Ok, I'm getting bored waiting for the new bike to turn up, and hearing everybody else talk about there up coming rides, so, with nothing better to to do , how a bout showing us what you would love to have in the shed before you get promoted to a subterranean truffle inspector ( that's dead to the ininformed!) I'll start off with this bobbed Knuckle.
GT 500 Shelby Mustang (Elanor) very high on my want list
A HK GTS 327 Monaro in red (the fastest colour).
He shoulda got the Bagger .........
Onya Geoff ol' cobber.
Had just the one way back when. Didn't know any better back then, but 9 inch solid disc front brakes were way underpowered and along with drum rear brakes were absolutely useless after even one lap around the old Qld Lakeside Racetrack. Along with the super skinny steering wheel with no power steering, the super clunky 4 speed gearbox and the enormously heavy clutch, apart from that with the 327ci engine and low range diff, jeez it was a rocket, as long as you didn't need to stop. Apart from that the rocksolid leaf suspension (read horsecart type ride) meant that it handled corners quite flattly depending on the choice of tires, which of course at the time was quite limited.
Still wish I had it though as it was a real beast of a supercar that we'll never see again.
Excuse the picture quality as they have been scanned from the original film, which was obviously crap quality compared with what we have now.
Cheers, DARKRIDER
Some blokes would be happy to have a shed to put something in...
How I'd like to be in my Garage before I Cark it.
Think I've left it too late though.
How do I delete this photo?
No need to delete this photo Wimbo.
I would rather you deleted the steroid sniffin gym junkie instead. No one would (or should) want to die that young.
That's the sort of pics I was after when I started the thread, Wimbo. Starting to get a real liking for the bobber look, and the pan is a beaut motor to build one around. A project such as yours, Chopa, could be worth looking into!!!
This full of US $$,
