The first mod i made to my softail custom was to replace the rear centerline wheel with a spoke chromey, this harley style design looks stupid IMOP, WTF were they thinking?maybe an over suppluy of rims at the time or maybe cheaper, anyway i think two matching wheels look much better, what are your thoughts guys?

The original Centreline wheel as seen on the early shovel disc glides and the first years of the Softails were a classic. Hard to find now too. The Australian made lookalike was not a genuine centreline and is like generic cola compared to Coke.

I'm not a fan of spoked wheels as they are a pain in the arse to clean, let alone a spoked rear wheel too. What I really do like is to have the rear wheel on my Softail chromed, instead of the standard cast finish. I'm saving up for mine to be chromed, & still debating whether to save for a flash looking wheel for the front.

However, I do like the matching centerline wheels that came out on Fatboys.

Yeah, I'd be happy as Larry with that price.
