Bought my softail with 60,000 on it.
In saying that it would have to be the right price, a lot of cheap bikes about at the moment with low Ks if you shop about.

I've done 65,000 hassle free Kms on a 09 model, know of others well over the ton without problems. If looked after and with regular services and documented maintenance shouldn't be a issue ? IMO.

Just shy of 100,000 kays on a 08 custom softail. Bought new in 08. Engine still runs as sweet as the day I bought it. I put the pod filter on a week after i bought it and allways keep the sock on. A lot of minute grit gets thrown up at it along the road.

I cut a square piece of plastic out of a milk bottle and if im riding at night in the rain, I tuck it in the bottom part of the sock so it goes about half way around the pod filter. Come around a corner once and an inch of water was running across the road. The custom softail having the tiny front guard protects fuck all. The water splashed up and the pod sucked it in. Next sec the bike dies and conks out. Waited a bit, Started it and that much steam come out of it, i couldnt see an inch in front of my face. Waited some more, away I went, Didnt seem to bother the engine one bit.

The only problems ive had is after 75,000, kays or so, Ive had to replace the oil drain hose as started weeping like buggery. I change the front and rear master cylinder rubber gasket as it weeps after 30000kays or so and the master cylinder black paint falls off around the cap area. The other thing is that I change every 18 months is the side stand bushing that the side stand goes into on the front peg bracket. This bushing is thin as coke can tin and your side stand will wear it away quickly and wear the round hole in the footpeg bracket into an oval shape. Probably cause mines a daily rider come rain or shine so to speak.

And I dont over-service my bikes. Only when intervals come up. And service only whats required. Dont see the point in wasting money over servicing a bike, Im not a collector so I allways will ride bikes till there just about worn out as like to get my moneys worth.
