A mate (Pommy) has just fixed a puncture on a 2007 street bob and after fitting the back wheel has found that there a very slight movement of about 1mm when you grab the wheel and move it from side to side while it is on the side stand. It is ok when it is upright, is this normal ??
it should pull up tight on the spacers from memory!!! Book just states check wheel bearing end play. Excessive play can affect stability and handling and insufficient end play can cause bearing seizure....
where does he think the movement originates.. bearings or spokes... make sure spoke are tensioned correctly!!!
interestingly.. when I had a puncture at 12K it took forever to get the axle out at the spacers had ceased to shaft... never been greased
