Question for you, the battery cover.. Any of you know if the low rider lettering is just adhesived (good word eh?!) on? I'd like the cover for my Wideglide, but not so much the lettering.

 

They look stuck on but I will have a closer look and let you know.

I just happened to take these pics a few weeks ago.

 

That black LOW RIDER section is just stuck on with double sided tape. If you heat it up with a glue gun, it will peel off leaving a bare chrome cover. Looks much nicer in my opinion.. But each to their own!

Ah thanks guys I see what it is now.. The chrome and black trim is a stamped metal bit and the letters are raised.

I like the black and chrome look as well, so I had the local smash repairer paint the "band" black semi gloss,

Also had my fork legs done the same colour (As well as some other mods like grips, pegs etc to match).

I painted mine using a Satin Black Vinyl paint from Bunnings, takes a while to mask it up but it turned out really good and definitely recommend it.
