Hey Jill,
It has a been a while but O'Dowds Irish Pub had good Guiness and live music (some of which was pretty good). If you want something a bit different the Great Western pub has a rodeo out back... I think they still have practice rides on every Friday (don't suppose you are up for jumping on a bull right now )... the steaks there used to be awesome.

I'll be in Gladstone the first week of November for a family wedding and visiting with a good mate in Rocky for a day or two that week. At this point I'm looking to ride up but waiting to see what work has in store...
