It was meant to be, Can't corner, don't worry, get a Harley Bonkerz. Somewhere along the way i fucked up. I'm going to blame the despicable flu and the codral day and night thats turned me into a space cadet. What will be, will . Glad the rest is well received.

The heat is on. Most of the time a cruiser is for cruising. I just happen to like cutting sick on a few corners. My bike can go through those corners faster than the pace the gentleman on the Speed Triple was going. He flagged me to go through three times in dangerous places and had more H/P. There group set a reasonable pace, my thoughts where how he could become a better rider by owing a Harley. He would have to understand the road better, get his lines better, he would end up being a better rider, or around a tree. Lessons learned on the Fatboy, the side steps don't give any more turn in when grinding supports.

I've had some very fast bikes in my days pre-HD and never did I take pride in overtaking someone on a straight. Never. My attitude always was and always will be, enjoy the corners and lead the way; if you can't, get out of the way and learn.

I love these video's and I especially love getting some smooth momentum up on my HD - I work harder for the same thrills these days, but it tastes sweeter, that's for damn sure.

As far as I'm concerned it's not about racing, but enjoying riding to one's own ability. If you happen to ride faster than yer mates then that's how it is, but only a complete fuckwit rides beyond his or her capabilities in order to be out in front. That scenario can only ultimately end badly.

No ones talking about riding beyond their capibilities, but ya can a bit of fun just the same.
Obviously some of you older blokes are happy to poke about and some prefere to have some fun ( within thier abilitys).
    Each to thier own
Always seems to be na sayers when this topic comes up, can't ride like that, Harleys don't handle, Harleys can't possablly keep up with jappers through the mountains, ya can do this, ya can't do that bla bla bla FFS

We all ride with different abilities, motorbikes of different styles and performance. Some with better road manners and clearance. The massage in these videos is to keep on your side of the road using your own judgement on how best to do that. The more spirited you ride the sharper your judgement needs to be. How many different calculations do we naturaly use to prepare for a corner, enter and corner and exit a corner, not to mention road surface, conditions, tyre choice, temperature, traffic and the list goes on. It just becomes natural. An extension of ourselves. Shifting body weight and counter steering is a great way to help get around corners safer. On a Harley in gereral with clearance issues shifting body mass is a great way to become a safer rider. Bike rides on more performance oriented bike don't need to do that because there bike does it for them until they start to push it. Learning to shift body at lower speeds is much safer than trying it at higher speeds. So all in all a Harley is a great bike to get the most out of at a lower, safer speed
