Hi all, I've just put a deposit down on the new Low Rider S and am looking at getting a decent 2-1 pipe for it. I had a V&H Comp Series on my Fatbob but found that the clearance was horrible and scraped around every corner. I'm looking at the RSD Slant. Just looking for advice as to what has the best performance/sound. Cheers :)

Consider the D&D Bobcat, I'm very happy with the looks, sound and performance of mine.

When I got my 110" CVO Springer a few years back , it came with a V&H Big Shot Staggered system on it. Obnoxiously loud

( I had never been a fan of V&H personally up to that point!).

I made contact with a guy in Perth who had bought the same model bike in 2008 and still had it.

He had tried EVERY and I mean EVERY exhaust option available for 200 rear Softails from 2008 to 2011 and still had them all hanging in his garage

You name it , he'd tried it 2:2 , 2:1 yada yada. Some forked the ground clearance , some were fugly and some ran shit via low RPM torque loss.

His summation after all that ? Stock OEM Headers with "good" slip on mufflers , Khromewerks / S&S / Rush

He reckoned ALL of the 2:1 systems were too loud , especially with the 110" motor , and most all of the 2:2 options as well

Got a mate with the RSD Slant on his Dyna and it does not have very good clearance at all - I don't know anyone with the D&D so I can't comment there

Thank you everyone for getting back to me, I really appreciate it. Finding the golden triangle will be hard (Performance, Looks, Clearance). Thanks again.

Mate, love my D&D Fat Cat (louvered baffle), and can't recommend it enough. The fit and quality looks great and I've only heard good things performance wise/tuning. It is louder than stock but not stupid. I could only imagine that other D&D products are just as good. I also dig that you can email D&D direct with questions.

Same with my bobcat, awesome pipe, not loud at all at idle and taking it easy but roars when you give it to her

D&D 2 into 1s good pipes. Only loud when you crack the throttle.

When is the Low Rider S available here in Australia and what are the dealers charging for it? I can't see any prices on the net for Australia yet.

Late April, should only be roughly $2500 more than standard. Basing that on the extra for the Slim/Fatboy S. According to M&W HD in Brisbane there are approx 80 coming into the country. Happy I got my deposit down early!

Was just looking on the D&D website. Apparently the Bobcat exhaust doesn't fit the '14-'16 Lowrider models. Will have to send an email off regarding the new S model.

Cheers mate, I guess you have to go by what they say but I do t see why it wouldn't fit the later models, can anyone else shed any light on it.
The fat cat is an awesome pipe too no doubt, I just wanted a shorter, sportier look.

Have been up all night looking and I've found one that appears to be half decent. The Two Brothers Racing Comp 2-1. Looks as though it has good clearance, plus I also like a shorter look to a pipe. Anyone seen or heard any of these in action?
