picked up a slim s Thursday, came with pipes, tuner and waiting on heavy breather, I have also ordered front indicators for under the lever block and a tail light, brake light, indicator combo to go on a number plate bracket. I will also be changing the tank badges. 

 

 

Pretty happy with mine but I do need to quieter it down, I can't believe how noisy it is. I like loud but by golly this is noise to the max so I need to pull the baffles and weld a disc in I think then drill holes until I'm happy with it, that's all the quiet baffles are anyway

Why change the tank badges and what to? I always thought those ones looked the goods.

I've been thinking about v&h on my slim, I've got s&s slip ons and they're loud. Are these louder again?

Tank badges to the early ones with the star type shape, the pipes at louder than anything I've heard so much that I got a headache ? I'm just going to play with the baffles to get it a bit quieter

Ok I have sorted the pipes, I pulled the so called baffles out and welded a washer with a 1" hole on the centre onto the front end of the baffle, now it has a great note but not over the top, very happy now as I can hear myself think now and the pipes still have plenty of grumble so that's a win. I need to know if anyone has bought a Chinese led headlight as I suspect they are from the same factory as a few people are selling for a lot more.

Have now fitted the flush black fuel cap and led gauge, easy job and it looks good too.

Stropp, just ordered my mate a Drag Specialties 2 up seat from the US for his new Slim. Will let ya know his thoughts when he gets it. It has just arrived in Australia, so waiting for it to be delivered

Received a black day maker from eBay, shit comes to mind this would be by far the worst headlight I have ever had, I have emailed the supplier so will see what they do. The light has a bright rectangular spot, very bad when riding

Good to know, I was thinking about getting one. Let us know what they say. If it's a one off piece of garbage or if they are overrated.

Finally received all the bits to get rid of the std indicators so watch this space ??

Fitted the number plate relocation bracket and the running light surround, looks nice and clean at the rear end now.

Was there any noticeable performance difference with the heavy breather fitted?

My Fatboy S is in for 1st service and a few mods including the heavy breather.

Thanks mate, not noticeable but I will be doing the stage 4 kit later so wanted that for better air flow from the get go and I got it with the bike.

New led slim under perch front indicators fitted this morning.

I have also ordered some upswept black fishtail pipes, that will make it look even more old school ??
