Trigger pulled-Deposit paid!
Well done mate , enjoy .
Apparently, bike transporters only pick up twice a month. Due to the time restraints involved with interstate transfers, i missed the first run early this month. Fair enough! Got very excited on receiving an email from the dealership in Gosford, stating the bike would be picked up on Monay the 8th, and that it was all detailed and ready to go.. Continued reading, and the feeling of expectation quickly evaporated after reading the bike wouldn't be delivered until the 1st of March? 3 weeks!!!!! You gotta be kidding me! Got on the blower to the dealership and the sales bloke was embarrassed and very apologetic, but said it was totally out of his control. Which it was! A phone call to the transport mob was answered by a lovely lady who explained that bike would actually hit Melbourne on Thursday the 8th, but after that, there was a problem with transort to Adelaide, which she would not elaborate on. When i reasonably said this was unnacceptable, she also was apologetic and said there was nothing she could do. In frustration, i rang 3 other companies, but their time frames were either much later , or had the same issue from Melbourne. Bloody frustrating when you' ve paid for the bike, and all you want to do is throw a leg over it and go for a ride while this weather stays good ( not forgetting some planed runs with the SA crew). Little 'ol Radelaide sometimes feels like the arsehole of the earth when youre trying to source something from interstate! Oh well, i'll just have to be patient, and put the acid on the transport company until she gets here. At the moment, i'm about asfrustrated as a three legged dog trying to bury a turd on a frozen lake!
Get a cheap flight to Melb and pick it up ?
Considering from Melbourne, Pauly, but cost and lack of time would prevent me riding from Gosford. I'm always amazed how so many blokes on the forum seem to have endless hours to ride. Don't any of you bastards work or own houses ? Or maybe you've got a more understanding missus than mine??
I'd love to ride from Melbourne, Tim, but Granddaughter's birthday this weekend and a mate's 50th the week after! Always wanted to do the Great Ocean Road. Yeah, Graz.,The main issue seems to be a back log from Xmas, if you believe what they're saying. It appears it's quicker to get a bike from Perth than the East coast. Resigned to the wait now, so I'll stop whinging!
Graz, I'll find out which depot it's going to and let you know. No excuses , Pauly. I'm just scared of Mexicans!?
Finally!. Rego check first, then I can get busy removing reflectors and baffles and other factory crap. Bloody beeyootiful to ride, but sounds too much like a Virago at the moment. Where did I put that ABW voucher.....
Ta, Huddo, I finally get to see what a 200 rear looks like. Gotta see if she goes around corners now!. How's the Heritage coming along?
A bit of a saga, eventually, Ralph, but youre dead right!. She's here and that's all water under the bridge. Now to get some miles up.
