Can anyone tell me the difference between a rear brake lever from a 2004 Road King & a 2008 Road King.

I am slowly customising my 04 Road King & am heading down an Edge Cut theme. HD makes an Edge Cut rear brake lever but, state that it only fits 2008 up Road King. Trying to figure out what the difference is to see if I can adapt it or not.

Part number for the one I am looking at is: # 40091-10

For comparison, part number for a brake lever that does fit an 04 RK is: #42638-00A It's a reduced reach one but, really just using it for comparison in terms of linkages etc..
