    Hi

About 10 months ago I bought a 2015 CVO Street Glide to date I only done 350klns reason been I had an accident at work and have had several operations.

Back to my story while I was off work like everyone else I added accessories to my bike probably about $7000.00 knowing you never get your money back.

I got board one day and decided to make some inquires as what I would get for a trade in on a 2016 Fat Boy S So when they told me I would take a $13000.00 hit on the trade I told them to forget it

Looks like I'll be hanging onto my CVO street glide for many years to come

I bet that information knocked you out of your boredom.

Buying the CVO Street Glide, I thought that would be a keeper for a couple of years.

Why the desire to change, or was it just a whim?

Put her up for private sale in the "for sale section" ... If your not greedy and there is a buyer out there,, you will at least get more than the dealer has offered !!!!! Then go in and do a cash deal on the bike your looking at ...

Agree with Marks comment, put it out there private sale, sure you will do better on open market, then have some bargaining power with cash at the dealers for your next bike ?

I'm also guessing that particular dealer isn't really after your business...

he could probably tell you were not really interest and he possibly showed the same level of interest... basically gave to a price so you would fuck off... cheeky

in saying that, because of the level of grey imports the resale value of HD's is shit

I would suggest at least a $7000 loss, unfortunately accessories aren't worth much on resale, particularly on a new bike. The 2016 CVO Street Glide is $1000 dearer than the 2015, so colour aside (is it the yellow black, discontinued) your bike needs to be priced under that... The dealer knows this and must add on his lot fees (usually $1000-2000) and margin (another 2k). Hence 13k...

    Hello Everyone

Thanks for the feed back, yep I plan to keep the CVO Street Glide, the paint scheme is the Hard Candy Mercury a silver / Smoky Quartz Flames

Like I said in my post I was just curious of how much of a depricition there would be on my CVO, would I buy another CVO no I would not.

Hope to god I never have an accident as It would be very expensive to replace the tins especially the paint Graphics, I read somewhere that someone had to replace a saddle bag and it cost him $1200.00 just to replace it because it was a CVO. Touch wood and if I was in an accident and with the price of Harley's especially the CVO continue to deprecate it wouldn't be worth it to replace the tins and graphics with the CVO Replcaments.

I would get new tins and have it repainted with a nice paint and graphic scheme of my choosing

I have followed the theme of the other CVO's of 2015 which had a lot of black instead of chrome

I converted a lot of the chrome to Black like the Rocker Box Civers, Primary Covers, Cam Covers, Fork Legs, Crash Bar etc and so on I also fitted LED  Auxlury driving light also in Black it will continue to be a project in progress

Im 6ft tall so I fitted 16" bagger bars, I did try the 12" and the 14" bars but kept obstruction the vision of the mirrors, I also fitted The new legend air suspension what a difference it made

Yep I agree all of Harley Davidson are over priced especially compared to what they pay for them in the United States, also have to agree about all the Grey Imports which have been imported over the years it seems every kind of bike shop these days are selling Harley Davidsons which contributes to the depreciation of our beloved Harley's.

Maybe the depricition of the Australian dollar gone down it might slow down the imports time will tell

    Thankyou for  all the  imput
