Bar options for '03 Dyna Super?

    Guys,

I'm not real happy with the laid back feel of the factory bars on the '03 SuperGlide. I like to have a bit of fun at times and I don't feel I have good enough control of the bike through the twisty stuff or at speed.  I like the seating position and flatter style bars of the Street Bob Special and Wide Glide so I'm wondering what options are out there with bars & risers that might suit the ol' girl.

If it helps, I'm a short, fat bastard, 5'7 on a sunny day. Have forward controls fitted which are a bit of a stretch so I'm considering a LaPera up front seat.

Anyone got any suggestions or advice?

    Cheers. Roo.

Hahaha that's what you know. !!!

I'm from NSW. RIDDEN the best of corners from lithgow to Oberon and the southern highland of NSW. And the thunderbolts way.

Ridden more KM than you could dream of. !!!

I've ripped more gravel up into riders behind me than you have picked Lego out of ya mums toy box. !!

I use to have. Post count of over 5000 on here !!!
Not that post counts meaN Shit.
But over 300000km in 9years shows a little bit of riding in every state ( except NT and Tas )
You choose the road and corner bucko !!

Not sure ya bars are the only need of change.
Maybe reduce reach controls. Maybe suspension upgrade.

The bars should be OK. Getting T bars will roll ya hip back and make a further stretch for ya feet.

Take a SB special for a ride and see how it feels.

    Cheers mate.

Suspension (Progressive) & brakes (Lyndall) are already ordered.

I hoped the up front Lapera seat might also fix the fwd controls issue?

By the time I'm finished I might well have bought the Street bob spesh instead.

Anyway, one step at a time.

    Thanks for your help.

    Roo.

Try Bad boy Bars. I'm @5'10" on an 07 Superglide with forward controls and I'm pretty happy with them. They are not a lot different to the flattish bars on a lot of Sportsters.
