Hi, was contemplating buying a 2009 RK but after a test ride decided its a bit big and heavy for what I want, especially if I load it up and then chuck the wife on as well!
So, decided to have a look at a Dyna series and been looking at Street Bobs. Then I can had another seat and bags if I want later.
My question is as above, I have heard that cats came into Australia 2010, thats why I'm after a 2009. But having read a couple of US sites they mentioned 2009.......or was that just over there??

They are easily removed so don't let a certain bike having one stop you from buying it

Very easily removed, did mine a few days ago, removed flapper as well. Pulls like a train and the heat is gone.

Dynas ( except the ones with the 2:1 type stock systems , Wide Glide and The Dyna touring mini Roadking thing !) had the cats in the mufflers

The 2 mentioned differences have the cat in the 2:1 PART

All Softails have the cats in the ( easily removable ) mufflers

All tourers have the cats in the "2:1" part since 2009 , in the mufflers before that

All "Aussie" bikes have had cats since forever as we get "Euro 4" mufflers 'cause we're all as environmental as all fuck !

Many US models and model years have no cats UNLESS sold new in the "republiK of Kalifornia"
