Importing from USA

    Hi everyone,

    Can anyone give me some advice on the practicality of "importing " a frame from America?

    I'm looking for a replacement frame for my '04 Deuce, and thought maybe i'd have a better chance if i looked in USA.

    I have seen a couple of frames over there, at a reasonable price, but i've never done this before so don't know what the rules are, etc.

    Basically, all i want is a frame so that i can re-build my bike, and register it as a Harley......not a custom bike

     (although, having said that, don't suppose that matters too much......until or IF i eventually try to sell it)

    Anyway, your help would be appreciated

    Hi,

    thanks for your reply...sorry, should have made it clearer.....looking for a second hand frame, with clear title, VIN ok to be registered.

    Not too concerned with matching numbers, but would like to register the bike as a Harley Davidson, rather than a custom bike
