Hey guys, this got sent to me by a mate in the USA. It's a poor quality photo of a leaked Harley brochure showing the new LowRider S. 110 engine and black fairing, sexy gold wheels and nice solo seat. When this thing arrives I will certainly be drooling. Reminds me of the Sturgis... Good work HD.
That is real nice, with what looks like some SE bits on her. I see Cruise Control is standard.
Perhaps there will be more Dyna 'S' in the pipeline? Haven't heard lately when the high output 103 Dyna's will be coming to Oz ... Or not.
My colour vision is not great and the photo IS shit .... But, GOLD coloured wheels ? Really ??
O.K. just re-read OP.
........ So, the wheels ARE GOLD !!!
( Lol )
I'm glad someone questioned the rim colour ... I was starting to think I was member of a forum of people that dig gold rims ??
If this is actually some sort of leaked HD material does it mean that the widespread incorporation of the 110 across the range is a little way off yet? Why would they call it the 'S' if the 110 is standard? Wouldn't make sense, rather another year or so of 103 HO with an expanded range of 'S' options?
Does HD really need to update the engine across the range yet? If so how much of this is driven by a natural evolution or perhaps real or perceived pressure from the competition (Indian/Victory)? I don't know the answers to that myself; after seeing both of the brands in the flesh I never felt the need to ride one, might try it sometime but they don't look right to me.
Here is some official HD confirmation from a US dealer I saw on instagram this morning. Daymaker headlight among other items. See it at your dealer soon. PS: Hope this pic works - Im using Apple stuff which makes photos go weird sometimes.
Is it normal HD release a model with so much done to it? The pic is real nice, except the gold rims ... But to each their own. I dig the black look, don't know about the headlight fairing though, would have to see it in the flesh.
Check out the new article in: http://motorbikewriter.com on this. Revzilla 'Common Tread' has more info/analysis and pics.
A new CVO Breakout, with nice looking upside down front suspension is coming too. My dealer says a March/April timeframe.
No word on pricing though Revzilla says that the Low Rider S will be sold at around $3000 USD more than the US delivered Street Bob. Guessing that means a $5000 premium here?
