I have recently purchased a new 2015 Fat Boy Lo S with the 110 Screaming Eagle Motor. The bike only had 400K's on it when i decided to fit a performance pipe. During the test ride from the mechanic there was an issue with the dip stick poping out.The mechanic done a leak test on the cylinders, which the test failed. The bike was sent back to the dealership from where i puchased it.The motor was dimantled and upon inspection of the cylinders it was dicovered that the rings were installed incorrect resulting in the cylinders and pistons being damaged. Harley Davidson has since replaced the cylinders and pistons and the bike is back on the road. Has anyone else had the same issue ??.
Never heard that before
Sorry Hilly what does CCP stand for?
I know i must be the unlucky one.
Its the cranking pressure, when the mechanic checked the compression he hooks up a gauge to the spark plug hole, opens the throttle wide and cranks the motor over. The pressure on the guage needs to be between a certain range, Hilly is asking what numbers came up for the mechanic to come to that conclusion...
Don't know what the the pressures where wasn't there at the time. Below are a couple of pic's of one of the cylinders and pistons.
