I know this has been done in the past, but I couldn't find any recent debates.

What's better in your opinion ? What do you prefer and why?

I've had the luxury of owning all three, and I think the sportster is light, fun, zippy and great around town and twisties,I think the softail looks the best and is most probably the most comfortable and best for cruising, and I think the dyna is the best all arounder can cruise better then a sportster and handle better then a softail. Obviously I'm just generalising and I know you can set any bike up for what ever you want. Oh if you guys are sick of this debate and don't want to talk about it just ignore me or get a mod to delete this haha sorry if I've annoyed anyone by asking this again.

How long is a piece of string ?
You have'nt tried a touring HD, maybe a Road King or a Ultra ?
Great for short hops to the local deli.

I prefer the softail . The frame line does it for me no visible shocks like a rigid without the rough ride.

To be honest as far as Harleys Go Ive mostly owned oldies; a Iron Head Sportster, a shovelhead superglide and a hardtail Panhead and then had a 20 year break from riding. The Pan was lost almost as fast as I got it. Fucking still plays on me 25 years later. Uninsured (as you did back then) and spent my last penny on it. Was broke when some cunt stole it. As far as modern bikes go I have only ever ridden my current 07 Roadking Custom. Would love to put a Low Rider next to the King for those days you just want to flog something. I also wanted one when they were first were released in late 70's. I like Chrome or the Street Bob would be a goer as well. Wouldn't knock back a Breakout for a night cruise or take to a show as well. But if I could have only 2 Bikes I would sell the King and get a Street Glide and then put a Dyna Low Rider with 110+ Horsepower next to it to show a couple of Metric Riders how full of shit they are.

I've , had a streetbob ,, now got a low rider great all round bike ,, but i've got another bike for touring and a 3rd for in the city and a bit of Off road stuff ... But if i had to own one bike ,, without a doubt it would be a ROAD KING . comfy , good for touring , handle well , evrything you need straight out the box ,

Wow, I have only got my first HD being a 07 Sporty and really love it.

Couldn't imagine getting it past the minister of finance anytime soon to go an upgrade.

The biggest thing that annoys me is other Harley riders putting me down , when I had a sportster I got put down for having a girls bike, when am I going to get a real bike, when I had a fatboy I got told I had a poser bike when am I gonna get a real bike a dyna when I had a dyna people down me it's just a sportster with a large engine in it. Ha ha ha I'm serious I've been told all these things from other Harley riders. Why can't you just love and appreciate them all! I sure as hell do!

Rant over, yeah I know get over it big deal can't handle a joke etc, just a rant, I'm aloud to arnt I? Haha

Half your luck mate, you own three good models, each have great quality's. You must have good meat at the butcher shop. It would be hard to take it to heart when you have three models to choose from.

Haha I don't own three at the one time. I've just owned the different types over time, I'm on my 4 Th Harley now . Decided on the dyna, for best "all rounder"
