Stumbled upon this, when looking at a clip on youtube re: Street Bob ...

This guy loved the forks so much, mentioned them at least twice......does he know they are made for HARLEY for the last 30 years, by SHOWA of JAPAN. Yes, these are rice burner front forks. he, he, LOL. This guy know nothing about the 103 Twin Cam fatally flawed design, with all the PLASTIC tensioners, (3) all in critical engine components inside the metal engine! It's new, so, he doesn't know yet about the crankshaft that is only pressed together and that with every revolution and mile, the crankshaft will begin to twist and the pinion shaft run out will soon, exceed 0.001" and as it progressively twists more and more out of true, just as soon as it hits 0.03", damage to all the engine bearings, bushing, cam bearings will be cratered the engine will be cratered, unless the crankshaft is taken out to a performance specialty shop to have it taken apart and have the connecting rods, re-honed and to balance the crankshaft components, re-assemble the crankshaft and have it dynamically trued on a truing stand and then have the crank pin welded to hold the crankshaft in true to 0.001", of tolerance. "AMERICAN NATIONAL TREASURE." HARLEYS ARE NOW ALSO MADE IN INDIA..............YEP, ALL THE NEW 750 AND 500 V TWINS ARE COMING FROM INDIA. I guess this guy doesn't know that the silent cam chain tensioners which are PLASTIC rubbing against a METAL chain were meant to be periodically inspected and replaced for wear. Failure to do so, will result in METAL TO METAL contact between the tensioner holder and the silent chain and will crater the engine as the metal shavings produced are inducted into the oil pump and then into the crankcase and cylinders and IMMEDIATE CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE WILL OCCUR. Most Harley owners don't even know about these tensioners, or they wouldn't touch a TWIN CAM, produced since 1999 to the present. H-D, has had years, to fix the problem by switching to METAL GEAR DRIVES for the Cam shafts, like they used to use on all the single cam H-D, of yesteryear. H-D, is digressing for profits, instead of moving forward with better technology. CAVEAT EMPTOR - LET THE BUYER BEWARE

This is old and just scare mongering.....re the crank, reliability for most of us with reasonably stock engines, the crank is more than sufficient. And the cam tensioning design was improved from 2007 onwards.

Speedy you need to realize that harleys are a far superior bike that's why you pay more money to own one. You always get what you pay for in this world .Never once has anybody or anyone been dudded by a large corporation obsessed with profit. And nor will they ever be.If your thinking otherwise you obviously need another brainwashing session by the media or there isn't enough fluoride in your drinking water . Some even resort to illegal drugs in a mind numbing attempt to hide there humility for such a purchase. Anyway that's my dribble of the day.

Rather than posting this crap maybe do some homework on how many "catastrophic engine failures" there  have been. Harley haters have been discussed previously.

I've had 2 shovels and never had breakdown or stranded, rode from sa to fnq and all over, points ignition and a kick starter, bikes that are unreliable are a reflection of the owner IMOP.
