G'day Blokes, My right hand tank badge keeps coming unstuck so I'm searching for clues to some sort of generic type adhesive that wont damage the paint work but do the job. Any thoughts would be appreciated. ( I suspect a little drop of fuel was the culprit.)

Double sided tape is what the factory use and yes to much fuel on it does stuff up the adhesive

3M double sided tape is what you need, not the supercrap cheap shit. Isn't affected by fuel (unless it is soaking in it). Most automotive shops that mix paints sell it. I buy it in a large roll, so I don't know if it comes it small rolls. Never goes "off" so you'll have it for years. I've used it where ever double sided tape is required. Sticks like shit to a blanket.

    Soft...

If you never ever want them coming off the urethane used to hold the plastic lower door panels etc on cars works. bunnings sell a sikaflex version

This is a common issue in the Sates on the Tourers and nothing to do with fuel, what model is it, and is it still under warranty?

2014 Heritage & just out of warranty. Bit of a do it yourself bloke anyhow, so prob wouldn't run to the shop over this small matter. Thanks for your input fellas.

Thanks all for the advice, appreciate the input fellas, methinks the 3m double sided is what I'm going for as the badges on the heritage are large/thick enough to support that type of tape. Once again cheers. Frosty.
