So I'm hearing this noise everytime I start my 07 Fatboy that every one I speak to including the dealer tells me its normal. Normal my ass! Being the facicuis prick that i am, I pulls off the primary cover this morning to have a look at the ringear..and there it was.......a bloody tooth missing off it!

Anyone replaced one on a 07 twin cam? I can get one from the US for a couple hundred big ones. Any tips or tricks my learned friends?

Can't speak about the later bikes but have done a few on evos thay are riveted on you remove the clutch hub grind the head of
Knock the rivet out Drill the hub holes out slightly than bolt a new ring gear on with cap screws around the $150 so thay may do a kit like that for the tc , you will need to count the how many teeth you have as there are diffrant amounts such as
66 or 99 with a different amount on the starter pinion aswell. For different ratios

Thanks perthhog, i just had a look with a mirror and def no rivets. I read a post somewhere where they can be heated off and on. I used that method back in my mechanic years on cars. Seemed to work ok.
