Ok I have just fitted a chrome inner primary cover to my 2010 Heritage and now I have a loud noise. It sort of sounds like worn brake noise but its not that. I removed the cover and then no noise. I cant understand what the hell it could be there is only three bolts that get taken out and put back in. Its a Harley cover not any other brand. Give me your thoughts.

 

did the noise stop when you took out the bolts or when the cover come off?
are there marks on the cover or the bolts?

quick check in comparing the old and new parts for size, shape or depth.

I have one of these on my 09 Fatty. I had know issues, but I remember that 1 of the bolts is longer and need to use that. Just check that you used the longer bolt, it may not be the answer, but just asking
