    good morning people

I've purchased a softtail slim s and have had the pipes changed to screaming eagle slip on's

My issue is every other screaming eagle slip on's I've purchased have had screaming eagle stamped on the pipes

These one's don't the dealership is telling me the are definitely screaming eagle, I'm not so sure is there any other way to tell.

    Cheers

the older mufflers that had SE stamped on the outer side also had FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY stamped on the inner side
you will find your new SE's will have legal compliance stamping on the underside and also indicating the model of HD they are for making it impossible to be deemed as aftermarket or illegal
unfortunately they are also quieter, thus street legal (apparently), though this can be rectified
    cheers

As FLIP has already said. Yeah, just bought some SE slip ons and it doesn't say Screaming Eagle on them. But, it does say they comply with the 80db noise limit, which I don't think so.. Mine are louder than standard mufflers and I like the sound. They came in a Screaming Eagle / Harley Davidson box.

    Soft...

oh, by the way Yowie its not compulsory but yet courteous if you introduce yourself to the forum first before requesting advice from members here, the rank'n'file will be a little more abliging to your needs if you require anymore info in the future
the introduction section on top of the topic listings, so tell us all a little about ya' self and ya bike, photos are always a cool start (the bike not you)
like I said not compulsory but courteous to do so

    cheers man

MATE, I replied because that's what the forum is all about
and if you've been a member for a 'long' time you obviously only involve yourself when YOU have a query, not to participate in general and help others
that's not what this "forum" is about

Actually, you never introduced yourself Yowie in 2014. But that's OK, many don't. If you had been around for a while, you'd have been blown away by the supportive words of wisdom and bonhomie of FD. (he's off the raw meat for christmas) Next, you'd have introduced yourelf and shown us a picture of your bike.  Perhaps you still will. smiley
