I have a 2015 fatboy with screaming eagle slip-ons which are too quiet. They have catalytic converters in the mufflers. On the intake side there is a flap which diverts the gases down the side through the baffles to keep them quiet. I've tried bending the flap but it's very strong, any suggestions to get a bit more sound without replacing them?

hey lockwood, take the baffle out and remove the wool packing inside, this will improve the sound of the mufflers
still not right for you? drill a couple of extra holes on the end of the rows of holes on the baffle or just drill a 1/2 inch hole in the flap that you tried opening
    cheers mate

Hilly I don't think you could remove the Cat but anything is possible? also I am unsure how far the cat goes? it is near the end pipe but I am unsure about that bulbouse looking thing a bit further along and what lives in there?? the ramp is actually pressed closed so yeah you could drill a half inch hole in that and a few more where the other holes are I just did not want to barstardize mine just in case I should ever get pinged for noise.I think the CycleShack # 1547 were about $98.00 landed here.

    cheers Jimmy
