hi all, hoping I can get some advise re: my 07 spec fatboy clutch adjustment.

Have removed derby cover and am attempting to release the lock nut to adjust my clutch

and I cannot budge the lock nut. I have got to the stage where the nut is partly rounded and

have now stopped. Any comments to help me fix would be much appreciated

    thanks in advance

Mate , it should'nt be that tight in the first place.. Use an 11/16th offset wrench, (I think this is your size , but check), Anyway,, have the bike in gear,, tie down the rear brake ,, so the clutch pack can't rotate, while breaking and tightning the lock nut.. As your lock nut seems very tight, give it a spary with wd40, and let it sit for awhile.. As you will probably replace the locknut anyway, (part no, 7848w), get a large flat screwdriver , and give  it a few light taps with a rubber hammer on the flats of locknut in an anticlock wise direction... Now get the offset wrench and give the end a good bump with the palm of your hand..  See how you go ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgWn3osUMNo

Some how I don't think it would need wd40 seeing it lives in oil / oil mist

And as it's super tight it might be easer to pop the circlip and pull the plate and hold it in a vice than refit you may get away with just flipping the nut depending how bad it is  if not any fastner shop will have one

thanks guys, will give it another go and let you know how I get on. Fuck knows how it got to be so tight, I bought bike second hand with 24k on the clock

so whoever played with it before has over tightened.

Use a socket (deep socket if needed) and long breaker bar rather than a wrench
