Hey does anyone know how to replace with a firmer or tighten the throttle spring in the carby on a 2015 883 Iron so its not so touchy?
I've lowered the back end so the ride is a little 'bumpy' at times from a stiffer suspension, and if I hit a bump at the same time as trying to indicate right for example, the throttle is so responsive I can be suddenly accelerating / decellerating at the same time as trying to hold on.
I'm looking at putting in a 1200cc Stage 3 conversion soon but without fixing this throttle issue first so it doesn't come on so damned easy, I could find myself at an unexpected sticky end from the extra power. Even just riding along the highway at 100km/h it can be a bit unnerving as its just way too touchy. At lower speeds its no real issue, but with more power / higher road speeds I just don't want the bike revving up or down so easily.
Cheers

(apologies if this topic has been brought up before. All I can find is info on throttle cable adjustments but nothing really on trying to make the throttle action 'firmer'.
Well your old head needs to move along a bit its Efi no carbi as said that in your pic is called a thorttel body which all efi motors have but yes a butter fly ,and seeing it's a 2015 bike take back to the dealer and get them to sort it out if there is a problem as it should be still under warranty , don't fuck with it or you may change your tps settings buy playing with it which may open another whole can of worms
