Finally I have joined the world of HOG several months ago after a 17 year abscence in the saddle. Having sold my last Jap bike in 1998 and vowing never to buy a bike again until I could afford a Ducati or Harley, I didn't expect it would be that long in between rides.! Until one gorgeous sunny day recently, we are driving across the Derwent bridge toward Hobart and two Rebels riders looking pretty damned cool cruise on past us on an absolutely stunning Breakout and a FatBoy. I stare with drool running down one corner of my mouth as my eyes can't let go of the sight of chrome gleaming in the sunshine and the unmistakable thump of big V Twins.
My wife looks at me and says "Buy one..." My first reaction is huh?? She says, "Just buy one. You've wanted a bike ever since we met, so go and buy one". So I did.!
Being 'vertically challenged' really the only thing that suited me was an Iron or a 48. Loving the 48 but with such a small tank, I went for a spanking new sand camo 883. And installing forward foot pegs, new Arlen Ness mini mirrors, grips / pegs / shifter peg, bullet exhaust cover and slip on screamin eagle mufflers, stage 1 kit, lowered back end, a 'comfy mumma' two up seat and luggage rack and sissy bar for when the good wife comes with me. Soon to be installed a new custom made leather spring solo saddle and 1200 stage 3 conversion kit... Happy days.!! " border="0" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" />
