We have been through the bike oil change to death and it apears it ranges 5000k's to 6 months give or take

how often does the car get engine, gearbox/trans, diff oil change?

My Triton is every 10000, I have to do 25000 for the lease

the wifes Porsche service is yearly, but that ranges from a large, small, medium, small, large.

so small servise does engine oil, med, does engine and box, large does nearly everything else

$500 just to drain and refill the radiator fluid

I bought a 3 year old Honda crv 1999 model with 70k on it . I was working nightshift at a place where I could do the services myself and I changed the oil and filter every 10k with Castrol R full synthetic until I got made redundant.
The car had 185k on it when I went redundant and got a bit lazy and I didn't change the engine oil for 3 years with 210k on the clock.
The car needed a timing belt at 200k so I waited until 210k
and took it to the local mechanic and got the oil changed with Valvoline semi synthetic.(not my choise but you know how it goes)
I have been topping up the engine oil in the car with the old oil from the bike until just last week when I took it to a different mechanic for a 250k service and he reckoned the oil was filthy.
the car is running like a fukin train

I have heard of people getting their nickers in a twist about engine oils but if you put in decent oil in your car or bike and change it regularly then you have nothing to worry about.
